Maple-Glazed Pumpkin Scones

Let’s face it, during this time of year, we’re all pretty much in a pumpkin-overload kind of mood. Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin butter, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pancakes…You know as well as I do that this list could keep going and going. And while there are some pumpkin-haters out there, I for one am not one of them. In my mind, there can never be enough pumpkin!!

All Things Fall

Fall is really doing a number on Prospect Park this year, and I say that in the best way possible. The foliage has been absolutely breathtaking, especially during these last two weeks. I think the leaves must be at their peak. Fiery reds and golden hues are bursting from the branches and they’re slowly letting go, blanketing the ground. It’s becoming hard to walk a few steps without hearing that sudden crunch underfoot.

Laurel in The City: Part III

This past month sure was a busy one. For starters, we had the pleasure of hosting two sets of guests. It wasn’t too many weeks ago that my parents flew up to the city to visit with us, and then just last weekend, one of my best friends, Laurel, was in town!

Oh, Laurel. This girl has one of the most beautiful souls you’ll ever meet. While it’s super strange to think we’ve only known each other for a few years, I can’t help but feel as if we’ve been best friends for a lifetime.

New York Lately

I don’t know about your location, but the weather in New York has been extra lovely these past few weeks. That of course means spending LOTS of time outside, which in turn is kind of perfect since fall looks so gorgeous on New York.

Parentals Take on New York City

You know when your parents come to visit you in the city — especially when your Dad hasn’t been to New York since the 70’s (!!!) — you’ve got to show them the best time. Well, with all the smiles, laughter, and sore feet that were brought on last weekend, I think it’s safe to say Derek and I did just that. I’ll skip the time-passes-too-fast rant, and jump right to the part of I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact their visit has already come and gone. Thankfully, we have an abundance of photos to relive their visit, over and over again.

Upstate Apple Picking

I know I already mentioned about Derek and I went apple picking while upstate exploring the Catskills, but since we had so many photos from this little detour, I couldn’t help but dedicate an entire post to it. What an afternoon to remember! For starters, the weather was just gorgeous. Clear blue skies. The warmth of the sun’s rays shining down. And that hint of chill just cool enough to remind us fall was officially in the air.
