After countless train rides, 10 countries, 20-some cities, and too many peanut-butter-banana sandwiches to count (I really would rather not know the number!) we finally made it to Ireland, the last country to explore during our backpacking adventure.

72 Hours Wandering in Scotland

Once we said our goodbyes to all the sheep in the Lake District, we continued on our way to Scotland. We spent most of our time in Edinburgh, and I’m so happy we did. This city was just so much to explore. For starters, we quickly found out Edinburgh is the perfect size. While it isn’t technically walkable — we used the bus a lot! — you can see so much of the city in just a few days. Thank goodness for that, since we only had 72 hours here.
