The last couple of days have been a bit dreary here in NYC, weather wise. Lots of winter winds and rain. Lots of rain. Despite the fact the clouds decided to cry extra hard the one afternoon I forgot an umbrella, I somehow managed to snap the image above of the Flatiron Building looking extra magical.Read More
After three years of Christmases in New York, Derek and I finally made it to the Rockefeller Rink for ice skating before we left to come home for the holidays. Of course, when you think about ice skating in the city, your mind immediately shifts to thoughts of Rockefeller Plaza. You know when your parents come to visit you in the city — especially when your Dad hasn’t been to New York since the 70’s (!!!) — you’ve got to show them the best time. Well, with all the smiles, laughter, and sore feet that were brought on last weekend, I think it’s safe to say Derek and I did just that. I’ll skip the time-passes-too-fast rant, and jump right to the part of I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact their visit has already come and gone. Thankfully, we have an abundance of photos to relive their visit, over and over again.Read More
