72 Hours Wandering in Scotland

Once we said our goodbyes to all the sheep in the Lake District, we continued on our way to Scotland. We spent most of our time in Edinburgh, and I’m so happy we did. This city was just so much to explore. For starters, we quickly found out Edinburgh is the perfect size. While it isn’t technically walkable — we used the bus a lot! — you can see so much of the city in just a few days. Thank goodness for that, since we only had 72 hours here.

England’s Lake District: Countless Sheep and Endless Green

I’ll be the first to admit I did not know much about the Lake District prior to our visit. All I knew before we arrived was that Derek could not stop talking about how beautiful it was going to be. Ever since he had read this book, this area had been on his to-go list.

Glowing green hills. Countless sheep grazing the land. So much beautiful nature right at your fingertips. Sounded good to me.
