If your heart starts to flutter as much as mine does when your eyes spot anything cacti related, well then keep on scrolling because this post is for you.
What is it about these prickly creatures that make our hearts melt so? Someone please tell me. Let’s be honest, it’s not like these spiky species are the most beautiful plants on the planet. On the other hand, they are eclectic, exotic and they sure do scream fun so I guess that’s why they win my heart over and over again. Whether it be a prickly pear, saguaro, echinocactus — the list could go on and on…and on — I adore them all, especially the itty-bitty baby succulents. I do question quite often whether my love for these thorny characters is more along the lines of an obsession, but that’s another story.
The story I’ve got for you cacti lovers today is that I officially found your paradise. Located in the heart of Palm Springs, Morten Botanical Garden is the place to be. You guys, this garden even has it’s own cactarium! And the best part? A five-dollar entrance fee will get you everything you need to calm that cacti-craze. Or, if you’re like me, it will only ignite the love-fire even more but that’s okay, too. Just make sure to have someone by your side when you go though, as you might want to stay in this little oasis forever and you might need to be dragged away — thank you Derek. Luckily, the good times can continue rolling, as there are tables upon tables of teeny-tiny succulents you can take home.
So, the takeaway from this post? Go to Morten Botanical Garden. That cactarium is one you can’t bear to miss. See all the goodness for yourself below!
