The last couple of days have been a bit dreary here in NYC, weather wise. Lots of winter winds and rain. Lots of rain. Despite the fact the clouds decided to cry extra hard the one afternoon I forgot an umbrella, I somehow managed to snap the image above of the Flatiron Building looking extra magical. Funny how I, amongst hundreds of others sprinting to escape the downpour, looked like a soaking wet dog, while all the old architecture somehow managed to remain just as dreamy.
At least there were six massive floors of ABC Carpet & Home to get lost in while drying off.
This place puts daydreaming on a whole other level.
I went down the rabbit hole of looking through past trips and came across this picture below. I remember this morning like it was yesterday. Derek and I were spending a weekend exploring the Catskills, and came across the most darling little general store. Good thing, too, because we were getting extremely hangry, let me just tell you. The breakfast was so tasty, we came back for the exact same meal the next day.
Oh, the beauty of NoHo.
And the scrumptiousness of Dimes. Just in case you’re wondering, that to the left there is called “love toast.” It’s just divine.
A few weekends ago, we found ourselves back at one of our favorites, James. No matter how many times we come here, I can never get over the beauty of the bar. It’s just so inviting, don’t you think?
We stumbled upon this darling two-toned masterpiece in Greenwich one morning while strolling around. Something about the two pinks combined with the teal bike lane, I’m just smitten over.
Oh yeah, here we are at the end of February. Am I the only one hoping my calendar is wrong? How are we already two full months into 2016? Only a few more weeks until the official start to spring. I’m secretly hoping for one more snowfall before then.
