I don’t know about your location, but the weather in New York has been extra lovely these past few weeks. Despite one or two days in the mix, the majority of the temps have been in the high 60’s, even mid 70’s, which is kind of unheard of for the end of October. But hey, I’m trying to soak in the warmth as much as possible before Mother Nature makes the official switch to colder temps. That of course means spending LOTS of time outside, which in turn is kind of perfect since fall looks so gorgeous on New York. Bright, golden leaves scattered on the sidewalks. Carved pumpkins on stoops. And amazing Halloween decorations covering the many Brownstones. I have to admit, it sure is a fun time to be a New Yorker.
Below are a few photos I’ve managed to snap over the last couple of weeks. They pretty much sum up what’s been happening in life lately…
One of the many things I love about this city is how truly unpredictable it is. One minute, you think you’re walking in a grimy area of the Lower East Side. And then all of a sudden, you look across the street and immediately wonder if you’ve somehow teleported yourself to another country. Case in point with the photo below. Derek and I stumbled upon this darling greek restaurant, and were both blown away with the charm. Not to mention the deliciousness of the authentic greek food.
We hardly ever go to concerts. Yet, somehow we had tickets for three concerts in one week! Yes, one week. How ironic is that?! While we were both exhausted by the end of the last one, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
Ben Howard, Of Monsters & Men, and Walk the Moon sure know how to perform!!
We recently had a fundraiser at work, which meant LOTS of glitter, a photo booth, and teeny-tiny polaroids.
Oh, and learning how to make the perfect gallery wall!
And of course, what would life be without occasional homemade cinnamon buns!?
