Hello, September. Well, more like the middle of September, if we’re being technical. Really, where does the time go? Since fall is literally right around the corner – less than ten days away to be exact! – Derek and I have been doing our best to squeeze in as many last-minute summer shenanigans as possible. Rooftop happy-hours. Backyard dinners. Summer cocktails. And of course ice cream. Lots and lots of ice cream. But, as the days begin to get shorter, and that little nip sporadically slices the air, I think I’m ready to welcome fall with open arms. Just think: comfy, oversized cardigans, fiery bright leaves blanketing the sidewalks, and everything pumpkin. Sounds like a nice change to me!
Below are just a few photos of what’s been happening in New York lately…
We just discovered possibly the best pie shop ever to exist. Best news: it’s right down from our apartment!
Lots of evening runs in the park, which I totally dig. Crazy to think this luscious green landscape in the park will soon change to those warm hues of autumn…
Two words: cucumber margaritas.
Like I said, lots of ice cream.
Not too many Saturdays ago, we scarfed down one delicious brunch in the West Village.
Brekkie boards – I’d never heard of them, but apparently they are really popular. Not to mention scrumptious!
Hello, company outing. Some of the best coworkers [ever] below!
One of the prettiest nights in the city so far. Thanks, Kate Spade, for such a wonderful evening!
Cuban cocktails concocted at the one-and-only Cienfuegos.
A few nights ago, Derek and I stumbled across the loveliest little restaurant, Lovely Day. We were seated in the most darling corner booth. I couldn’t get over the charming flower stencils covering the walls.
And of course more brunch. The Butcher’s Daughter sure did provide a tasty one!
Cheers to more good times, and the start of a new season!
