Have you ever heard of a galette – you know the no-top pie? I hadn’t until I stumbled upon this delicious looking recipe on Food 52. Basically, it’s the cross between a pie and a cobbler. Yeah, genius idea, right? As soon as I laid my eyes on the pictures in the post, I knew it had to be my next baking adventure.
Ah, I wish I could describe how tasty this pastry turned out to be. Flaky, golden brown crust. Warm, honey-glazed peaches and blueberries. All baked to absolute perrr-feccc-tionnn! And the thing that surprised me the most – this recipe was actually pretty easy, and didn’t take a huge chunk of time, which is always nice. So, if you’re in the mood for a killer summer-dessert, I would HIGHLY recommend clicking on the full recipe here!
