It’s hard to believe it has now been a month since Derek and I hopped on the train to the Bronx to explore the New York Botanical Gardens. I’ve been meaning to share these photos for weeks now! But then again, June kind of came and went. We had discovered the beauty of the botanical gardens in Brooklyn when Laurel was here back in April, but hadn’t had time to explore the gardens in Manhattan. Although, when I read the first weekend in June was “Rose Weekend,” I just knew we had to make the trip. Ah, I am SO glad we did, too, because as you can expect, it was beau-ti-ful! So many bright and colorfuly flowers, everywhere you turned your head. And that sweet smell that filled the air from all the blooms was just mesmerizing! Such a remarkable pocket of nature, and luckily it was just a short train ride away.
