An Afternoon in Greenpoint

The other weekend Derek and I hopped onto the G train and rode it over to Greenpoint. What started out as a brunch excursion (of course, right!?) quickly turned out to be so much more than a scumptious plate of french toast and side of eggs. During the time we’ve been able to call New York home, we have explored so many neighborhoods, but have been slackers in exploring Greenpoint. However, this particular afternoon suddenly showed us what a mistake this has been. So much charm in this pocket of Brooklyn. So many darling bookstores and cozy coffee cafes. So many vintage thrift stores and secondhand shops. We even found the coolest tea atelier on a quiet side street. I just couldn’t get enough of this neighborhood. And to think it’s always been just a train ride away!

New York, you never, ever, ever cease to amaze me! So much charm, so little time.
