The Flower District

You guys, it is finally feeling like spring here in the city! After refreshing the 10-day forecast about a dozen too many times, I think it’s safe to say that Mother Nature is finally on our side, and the winter temps are no longer! High 60’s. Low 70’s. Yep. That sounds like spring to me, and I am welcoming this new season with open arms! Oh, and singing praises of hallelujah, too!

Spring in New York is just magical. It’s one of my favorite time of the year to be in the city. People have finally awoken from a long winter hibernation, and for the most part, everyone seems to be in pretty positive moods! You know, for NYC standards. So many layers have been shed. Goodbye disgusting puffer coats. Goodbye thick & itchy sweaters. Hello, bare legs, sunshine, and roof-top happy hours! Ah, such a refreshing  & much-needed change.

One of my favorite places to visit as soon as spring arrives — the flower district! Such a vibrant and colorful sight to see! Flowers lining the streets. Flowers exploding out of store fronts. So. Many. Flowers. And I love every second! Not to mention there’s practically an infinite number of baby succulents, which is obviously my favorite part about walking through this district.

They just make me SO happy!

So cute & adorable.

Derek basically has to drag me along in fear I’ll want to take every single one of these babies home!

The truth is, I secretly do want to though.

Oh, and then talk about this bad boy.

Ah, the colors of spring. If only this district could be on my way to work so I could walk past these beauties every single day!

I mean, how can you not smile when you see so much brightness!?

Spring, it’s so good to see you again!
