New York Lately

Ah, life lately.

Life has been quite a rollercoaster lately. Honestly, it just kind of hit me that it’s November! Maybe because of the fact that October was just so jam-packed with plans, that month kind of seemed a bit like a blur. I can’t complain though. It was certainly an exciting and adventurous 30 days. From Boston and Maine, to exploring more of NYC, Derek and I have made a conscious effort to squeeze in as many adventures as we can before the dreaded cold frigid winter hits!

Last weekend was definitely a memorable one. Some of our best friends from NC came up to see us for Halloween. We’d been planning their visit for a couple of months now, but the trip kind of snuck up on us all. But man was it awesome to have their faces here in the city! It was such a nice and relaxing weekend catching up with them all. Oh, and the countless belly laughs. So good for the soul!

Our adored Brooklyn Bagel. Never ever gets old!

Derek and I stumbled upon this street in the financial district the day of our helicopter tour. It immediately caught our eyes for its european charm.

One Girl Cookies!

I went with Derek to a work event, which turned out to be an epic comedy show! What’s better than a comedian? Definitely one juggling sharp, non-plastic knives.

Halloween at Kate Spade meant lots & lots of candy.

Ah, I don’t know where I’d be without these girls.

Seven people in one hotel room. Yeah, a pretty tight squeeze. But I wouldn’t have changed a minute.

Of course we had to eat at one of our favorite brunch places, The Spot! Ah, even uploading this picture makes me crave this food.

This sign just cracks me up since we ended up going to both Brooklyn Bowl and the brewery. Perfect fix for a cold and rainy afternoon!

Going to the brewery first definitely made us better bowlers for sure.

We miss you guys already. Come back…like now!
