It’s Christmas Time in The City

I flew in to NYC last Friday night, and I have to say, these past few days have felt like a wondrous dream. From the holiday lights draping over every store corner, to the wonderful street markets encompassing booths filled with apple cider and gingerbread — it’s hard to believe I’ll be leaving tomorrow. Thankfully, the snow storm that swept through was able to hold my flight for one more day.

Last year was the first time I ever ice-skated outside, let alone in NYC. Therefore, this year, Derek wanted to keep the tradition rolling so we spent the evening in Central Park taking in the beautiful city views, and well, trying not to fall of course!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m not a cold-weather kind of person. Yet it was so hard to stay inside with all the Christmas decorations lining the city. And with the amount of Christmas tree markets we walked past, there wasn’t a single street corner that didn’t smell of that goodness!

Lastly, the weekend ended with surprise tickets to the Rockettes. Honestly, no matter how many times I see this show, I fall in love over and over. There’s just something about Radio City that infuses you with magic and warms the soul.
