Venice, Italy

Wow. It’s certainly been a crazy past two weeks. From trying to adjust back to reality after living the life in Italy to beginning two internships all in the same week, I’ve hardly had the time to breath, let alone surf the web/catch-up on all my social media. Yet when I was able to leave Marie Claire before sunset tonight, I honestly didn’t know what to do with myself. So instead of putting all this free time to waste, I wanted to go ahead and upload some of our pictures from Venice…

I must admit, after exploring the majority of Italy, Venice definitely stuck out as one of my favorites.

Being built completely on water, I loved the lifestyle this city portrayed to have. Looking back, it seemed like a life of luxury really. During the two days we were able to meander, we ate (too much gelato), we drank (too many cappuccinos), and were truly able to just relax and try to soak in all the beauty that surrounded us. From the emerald green waves of color that filled the waters to the seductive decay managing to reveal the architecture’s past, there wasn’t one inch of Venice that we left unnoticed.

The canals. The piazzas. The art. I can’t seem to pinpoint why I became so captivated by this city, but I seriously cannot wait until I find another excuse to head back.
